Shree Balajee Group is the story of a family that saw an opportunity where others saw a gap — and built, piece by piece, one of the North East's most trusted manufacturing groups.
Our Story
Every business begins with a single decision. Ours began with the decision to stop waiting for the right materials to arrive from elsewhere — and start making them, here, to a standard nobody could question.
What started as one manufacturing unit has, over more than two decades, grown into a group with a presence across two states — producing BOPP tapes, paper tubes, poly bags, box strapping, and trading in shrink and stretch films. While plans are underway to manufacture these products at Jeripack II, our focus remains unchanged: a hands-on approach to manufacturing, and a refusal to let quality slip.
The Journey of Shree Balajee Group
Establishing Our North East Presence
Driven by an instinct to go where the opportunity was greatest, the business established its first unit in Guwahati — the first BOPP self-adhesive tape manufacturing facility in the entire North East region.
Into Films
The group expanded into monolayer extrusion of PP and HM films, widening the product range and deepening its manufacturing capability.
Paper Cores & Cones
A second first for the region — the group began manufacturing paper cores and paper cones, alongside a second line of BOPP tape production.
Jaipur
As demand grew beyond the East and North East, capacity and logistics called for expansion. A new unit was established in Jaipur, Rajasthan, extending the group's reach into North and West India.

I moved to Guwahati with very little beyond a conviction that the North East deserved a proper BOPP tape manufacturer — one that didn't cut corners because a client was far from a metro city. That first unit in Guwahati was the first of its kind in the region, and everything we've built since — the films, the paper cores, the Jaipur facility — has come from the same instinct: find the gap, fill it properly, and don't stop there.
Being entrusted with the Chairmanship of the Indian Plastics Federation for 2026–2027, alongside my role as an Executive Member of Laghu Udyog Bharti, has only reinforced what I already believed — that small and medium manufacturers, when they commit to quality and consistency, can compete with anyone. That's the standard we hold ourselves to at Shree Balajee Group, every single day.
Sinu Sonthalia
We were the first to do a lot of things in this region — and I don't say that lightly. Building a business here meant starting from local supply and slowly, deliberately, working our way to exporting beyond India's borders.
I came into this business as a homemaker who decided to build alongside my family, not apart from it. That belief has stayed with me — that growth only means something if it lets the people around you grow too. Every employee, every client relationship, every new unit we've opened has been guided by that idea: grow, and take people with you.

Our facilities in Changsari, Assam, Rangia, Assam, and Jaipur, Rajasthan together give us a manufacturing spread across two states — close enough to serve the East and North East with speed, and far enough to reach North and West India efficiently.
